Sign Language

So I'm learning ASL (American Sign Language), and I love it. I've had hearing problems for years. It's so bad now that I have to have the tv up full blast AND everyone has to be quiet or I can't hear what the people on the tv are saying. I tried the CC stuff, but I get so caught up in trying to read it that I miss what's going on in the show. I went to the doc, but the hearing aids I need cost just over 5 grand. Insurance doesn't cover it so here I am....learning sign language. I've always wanted to learn anyway. This is the second time taking this class, and it's a lot of fun. I'm hoping to be way more involved this time around...to go to the Deaf Chat events and such. I'd learn it much better that way.

Little Notebooks

Here are a few little notebooks I made. Some of the pics didn't do them justice, but I'll share them none-the-less.

Back

It's been forever since I've posted here, but I'm going to try to start it up again. The format has changed a lot, and it's 4 in the morning...so I think I need to revisit this later. I do want to start posting here again though.

Whispers of March layouts

These layouts were made using the Whispers of March kit designed by KakleiDesigns at her blog.

Riley right before she had her puppies. The poor thing would lay on her back and just BEG for belly rubs.

Oscar rolled himself up in his daddy's blanket, and I just couldn't resist getting a picture of him. He layed like that for a couple hours.

Riley got caught raiding the Beef Jerky bag. She LOVES her some badger meat *lol*.

Buck, my fiance's mother's cat, stretched out and posing for a pic at Christmas.

Allie, always the clown, playing with some of the craft candy canes we made this year.

Trish and Shannon playing with a bag of clothespins I have for various craft projects.

Bloom Poetry layouts

These layouts were made using the Bloom Poetry kit designed by KakleiDesigns. Her blog at KakleiDesigns has a list of the stores she sells in.

This is Allie playing with a Der Der (you know, the inside cardboard of a roll of wrapping paper).

These are my furry feline boys. The multi-colored one who looks so nice all sleeping and sweet like that...well, let me just say that even though is name is Bob, I call him Satan Paws because he's very sadistic with his claws. The solid black one is my sweet boy, Bandit.

Allie getting wrestled to the ground by all the puppies. There's 4 puppies in all, and they can be quite determined *lol*.

frustrated

Okay, so I'm waaaaaaaaaay past frustrated with this blog. It MAKES ME choose a template for the background instead of just letting me put my own background on there. Same with the header. My blog is well....it looks lame *lol*. I know some about html, but I just can't get anything to work. Now there's this stupid little "cutest blog on the block" thing stuck in my header. I give up because everything I try is just making it look more like I was too busy licking windows to fix my blog.

Anyone know how?

I want to have the main posts on the left....and then on the right third of the screen or so, have my little lists and blinkies and stuff. And I want my own header and background. I think my windows taste like strawberries though because it just won't work for me, and I'm a little out of my element here.

*slinks off to watch something warm and fuzzy*

books

I'm trying to design a new background for my blog and make a few needed changes, but I needed to stop and make some more books. With being on a new CT team and then working with 2 designers, I needed to be a bit more organized. I figured I'd make a composition book to keep track of passwords and websites and posting rules and all that jazz. Here's a few books I just whipped out. They're kind of a bit generic because I just wanted to get the base stuff done. As I find a use for each one, then I'll add letters and what not to better signify the use of the book.
